This frame and fork was shipped from Japan an was used at the Tour De Hokkaido. I took my time collecting NOS mint condition Suntour Superbe Pro components to hang on to this frameset.

Links I've come across about the 3RENSHO
From Yellow Jersey
Yoshi Konno1
Yoshi Konno2
Yoshi Konno3
Yoshi Konno4

A nice Thread about the 3RENSHO from BikeForums - lots of 3RENSHO pics and information.

Frame and Fork is unrestored showing off its paint scars.Nothing serious though, just skin deep scars.

1 = ichi
2 = ni
3 = san
4 = yon
5 = go
6 = roku
7 = nana
8 = hachi
9 = kyu
10 = jyu

Above ten, we would say something to the effect of "10 and 3" to stand for "13."
Therefore,
11 = "ten (and) one" = "jyu ichi"
12 = "ten (and) two" = "jyu ni"
13 = "ten (and) three" = "jyu san"
For numbers 20 and above, you would say something like "2 tens and 3" to mean "23." Therefore,
23 = "2 tens and 3" = "ni jyu san"
45 = "4 tens and 5" = "yon jyu go"
88 = "8 tens and 8" = "hachi jyu hachi"
99 = "9 tens and 9" = "kyu jyu kyu"
Counting higher is basically the same.
100 = "hyaku"
1000 = "sen"
10000 = "man"
So,
101 is "hundred (and) one" = "hyaku kyu"
303 is "three hundred (and) three" = "san hyaku san"
456 is "four hundred (and) five tens (and) six" = "yon hyaku go jyu roku"
3828 = "san zen hachi hyaku ni jyu hachi" (note that "sen" becomes "zen" after a voiced consonant line "n")
23456 = "ni man san zen yon hyaku go jyu roku"
